Q:

Use the coordinate grid to determine the coordinates of point A:What are the coordinates of point A? ( fraction negative 1 and 3 over 4, fraction 1 over 4) ( fraction 1 and 3 over 4, fraction negative 1 over 4) ( fraction negative 1 over 4, fraction 1 and 3 over 4 ) ( fraction 1 over 4, fraction negative 1 and 3 over 4 )

Accepted Solution

A:
Ok so you have x and y cordanets. So the line going across is the x axis and the line going up is the y axis. When ever you plot order of pairs it is always (x,y) So first plot x. You can see the line are broken into fourths instead of wholes and the ploted point moves BACK 1/4 of a line, so the X cordanent is -1/4. Then the Y cordanent is also broken up into fourths and the A is moved up 1 and 3/4 lines from 0. So the y cordanent would be 1 3/4. So the final answer is (-1/4,1 3/4)
